What we do and have to offer
The Society was established in 1945 although there is some evidence to indicate that the Society had its origins in the late 19th century. Nevertheless we are the oldest photographic club on the Island.
We cater for all abilities and our aim is enable you to improve and enjoy your photography. Our founding objective was 'to encourage members in developing their skills in the Art and Science of Photography'. Basically this remains our objective today.
There are experienced members who are are very willing to offer their help. Regular competitions are held, these are for prints and projected digital images. From time to time there opportunities for members undertake to undertake projects and assignments including support to community groups on the Isle of Wight.
